Dark Chocolate Buttercream

Dark Chocolate Buttercream

This Dark Chocolate Buttercream is so decadent and delicious! I recently used it on my Banana Split Mini Cupcakes!

Equipment

  • Stand Mixer
  • Measuring Spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
  • 4 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  • Place your room temperature unsalted butter and salt in the bowl of your stand mixer with the paddle attachment.
  • Beat on medium until lighter in color and fluffy (2-4 minutes).
  • Add your powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and heavy cream to the bowl.
  • Beat on medium speed until well combined. It will lighten in color.
  • Enjoy!
