How I take my pictures

January 24, 2018 Posted by 6cakesandmore Recent No Comments

Here are a few examples of how I take my pictures.

Cookie Angles

  • overhead (90 degree)
  • 45 degree angle

I try to use a white plate for my cookies.  This gives off good light and shines.  This is more of a pastry chef look(white plate) and my wood stand gives it a more “country” home baker feel!  You decide which look you want to go for when taking your pics!

Here are some of the ways I take pictures of cakes.

When you are taking a cake picture just make sure you get the cake and the cake stand!  If you don’t have a cake stand then you can just include the cakeboard in the picture as well.  Just make everything look as clean as possible.  Wipe away any crumbs from your plate or cake stand, clean your countertop, wipe any icing that’s on your cakeboard, etc.  Your clients will be viewing your work area and they like to see “Nice and Neat”!
