This is a delicious Oreo buttercream that can be used for cakes, cupcakes, or anything you like! This is a great buttercream for my Perfect Fluffy Chocolate Cupcakes!

Ingredients
  • 452 grams unsalted butter room temperature (4 sticks)
  • 907 grams powdered sugar (2 pounds)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 75 grams heavy cream (6 tablespoons)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 12-14 Oreos (filling can be removed or kept in)

Oreo Buttercream
Instructions
  1. Place your room temperature butter and salt into the bowl of a stand mixer.
  2. Mix until lighter in color. 2-3 minutes.
  3. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream to the bowl.
  4. Turn mixer to low until the powdered sugar is incorporated.
  5. Turn the mixer to medium high and beat until fluffy. 2-4 minutes. Scrape down sides and bottom of the bowl.
  6. Place 12-14 Oreos into a food processor and pulse until fully crushed.
  7. Add to your buttercream and mix until incorporated.
  8. Enjoy!
